Throughout the program, you’ll gain an in-depth knowledge of child growth and development, licensing and registration regulations, policy and procedure development, child guidance practices and child care centre design. You’ll learn to create and develop activities that promote the social, emotional, physical, cognitive and early literacy skills of children with special needs, including neurological disabilities, visual and/or hearing impairments and more. A field-related practicum gives you the opportunity to apply your skills in a real work environment and gain the confidence and experience to transition easily from classroom to career.
