Sprott Shaw College’s Early Childhood Education Post-Basic Infant & Toddler program features advanced-level courses that are designed for those who already have their Early Childhood Education Certification. Our program provides you with the communication, observational and creative skills required to work as a childcare centre supervisor, early childhood educator, after-school care worker and more.

  • Learn to create and maintain a safe and healthy environment for infants and toddlers by planning, implementing and evaluating programs and activities that will enrich each child’s overall development
  • Play an important supportive role in stimulating each child’s social, emotional, physical, cognitive and early literacy skills
  • Learn about the administrative side of childcare, including policy, procedure, funding and advocacy
  • Participate in a 4-week field-related practicum where you will put your skills into practice in a real-world work environment
