Our Early Childhood Education Children with Exceptionalities Post-Basic program has an advanced-level curriculum designed for those who have already received their Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certification. Our program provides you with the communication, observational and planning skills required to work in childcare centres, preschools, recreational centres and more. able to expand their coverage to Birth to 5 years and are able to apply for an ECE Special Needs Educator License.

  • Learn to create a safe and healthy environment for infants and toddlers and to develop and lead activities for children to help promote their social, emotional, physical, cognitive and early literacy skills
  • Gain a strong knowledge of special education, supported childcare and neurological disabilities, and how to approach challenging behaviours with compassion and positivity
  • A field-related practicum lets you apply your skills in a real work environment and gives you the confidence to take on a rewarding career working with children
