Sprott Shaw College’s Health Care Unit Clerk program focuses on skills and training required to play a vital supportive role as part of a larger healthcare team. In just 12 weeks, you will have the skills to pursue entry-level employment as a health care unit coordinator, medical office assistant, nursing unit assistant, unit clerk and more. These positions are available in a number of health care settings, such as hospitals, clinics, public health care agencies and insurance companies.
- Learn to perform receptionist duties, schedule and coordinate appointments, compile patient charts, transcribe physician’s orders and record vital signs
