Our Early Childhood Education (Basic) Diploma Program (Online Option Available) follows the approved Ministry for Children and Family Development curriculum to prepare you for career path in preschools, family and group childcare, before and after school care, and more. You will gain the skills to develop and lead age-appropriate activities to help promote social, emotional, physical, cognitive and early literacy development.

  • Study child grown and development, curriculum development and interpersonal skills as well as health, safety and nutrition
  • Learn to create a positive learning environment through creative arts, music, science, social studies and math
  • Learn to develop partnerships with parents, colleagues and other service providers to ensure open communication
  • Participate in 3 field-related practicums to strengthen your observation and assessment skills while implementing activities for small groups
  • Upon graduation, you will be eligible to apply for an Early Childhood Education Basic license from the Ministry for Children and Family Development
